I am feeling the intense pull of the moon.
My heart wide open with love flowing freely from it.
This month, Friends & Food we’re given a new meaning — I found that if you combine the two and mix it with openness, honesty, love & understanding and then drizzle a bit of honey on top — it creates this sort of glow and energy that would surround your whole being and fill you with so much positive energy – it’ll keep you sane during the times that you feel lost. (You get to pull through much faster when an existential crisis suddenly comes out of nowhere. 😉)
We all need a support system — people who are not only honest with you but love you no matter what, they lift you up, encourage you to grow, and make you see the world in a different light.
Another thing that gives me that inner light is spending time by myself — writing, reading, drinking tea, watching a movie, or just sitting in my candle-lit room while I listen to my favorite songs. It’s that feeling of freedom — having that moment all to me and enjoying it for me.
Self-acceptance and self-love is a slow process and one that I am enjoying every moment of. I am taking the time to get to know me, to really find out what I want, what I DON’T want, what I truly care about, what interests me and what makes me happy. I am taking the time to listen to my thoughts and to really feel the emotions and let it go through me without judgement and with compassion. There are days when I still feel lost, days when I feel sad, doubtful and fear sits beside me. But I do know that it doesn’t last and that more often than not, it is there for a reason and the only thing I could do at the moment is to acknowledge that it is there and let it sit with me for awhile. And then I let go and move forward but I move forward with awareness and pay attention to the coming moments and days because in my experience, when emotions come up, your unconscious mind is trying to communicate something with you. We just have to feel without judgement and be patient with ourselves.
And because of all these — even with the intense energy of the full moon, I have noticed how much easier it was for me to go through my emotions and my thoughts. How light I actually feel even when I am feeling deeply. And how easy it is for me to let go and move with the flow.
In astrology, the Moon is linked to our feminine energy; intuition, emotions, introspection, creation and nurture. And when the moon is full, we feel all of this energy very strongly and deeply. The full moon represents the highest point and signifies the end of the cycle which is a time to release all that no longer serves you, in order for you to make space for the new.
Light a candle and sit by yourself. 🕯🌹 Close your eyes, touch your heart, breathe deeply and feel — what is it that keeps you from growing?
May you have the courage and strength to let go of whatever it is that no longer serves your highest good so you could make space for growth. 🌿✨🌕
