Charito by Bag of Beans in Tagaytay; Perfect for Date Nights

Looking for a Tagaytay spot to take your partner on a romantic date? I know, I know… sometimes there’s just too many restaurants to choose from. Well, I tried this one and it was worth the saturday traffic plus the food’s great and the place was so pretty! My boyfriend loved it too. ❤

I’m not really an early riser so when we planned for a brunch date on a saturday morning… of course it didn’t happen but it was all good though. We went to Tagaytay anyway and just planned to enjoy the car ride and the view going up. There was a bit of traffic getting there especially since it was Saturday. But a stopover to get some cold-pressed juice and some tuna pie was all we need. We were also able to catch the changing colors of the sunset sky so the view that we had was pretty awesome.

It was a lovely date night and I enjoyed dining in Charito with my fun date. ❤

Okay, so I’m not really a food critic but I have tried a lot of restaurants that are aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but the food is a bit meh. Charito by bag of beans, isn’t one of them; it was such a sight, every corner had this old spanish style charm in it especially with the bougainvillea vines crawling all over the terrace and the view of the taal lake is stunning (So, I do advise that you either go for breakfast- so you could catch their breakfast menu which is only up to 11am, or go on a late afternoon for the sunset view and so you could watch as the colors of the sky changes while sipping cafe mocha).

Okay so food; clam chowder was great, caesar salad was… good and their main course was divine; their lamb curry was heaven in my mouth. But, their desserts were a bit meh. It was disappointing because they even have a bakery section where you can buy cakes and different types of bread for pasalubong (so, I advise that you go for dessert some place else), but on the bright side their coffee is great! and all in all I’d go back for the ambiance of the place, the view, and their main course 🙂 Oh, and their staff were pretty attentive even if the place was busy.

So yes, I’ll be back and will probably try to target brunch so I can sample their breakfast menu. 🙂
